BoardPrep clinical experts perform safe, dignified, and effective intervention services nationwide
A licensed clinician talks to each caller about their individual circumstances, even on weekends and evenings. An intervention/treatment deposit initiates the intervention process immediately. We begin the intervention process immediately and your loved one can be safely in treatment often within 24-72 hours. BoardPrep utilizes only highly trained and experienced clinical experts in each intervention. Safety first AND results are what matter most in an intervention.
Interventions are most effective when properly planned and executed. The effective intervention utilizes intense persuasion, facilitated by a professional, to motivate a loved one to enter and complete a selected addiction treatment program. Interventions overcome obstacles and excuses, motivating the impaired person to enter treatment for help immediately. Interventions work best when organized and facilitated by a knowledgeable and experienced intervention professional. BoardPrep utilizes clinically licensed and very experienced clinicians for interventions so that we are prepared for any contingency. Call 866.796.4720 for questions about admissions today.
The Intervention
The intervention process begins with identifying the people who know the person well, who can influence the outcome positively. Then, the team develops a specific strategy to accomplish the goal. The team may decide to develop a one-to-one motivational strategy as a starting place if preferred. Alternatively, if necessary, the expert interventionist may form a small group of two or three select participants to help with the goal. One or two sessions follow to educate the members about the dangers of enabling and develop a strategy for the confrontation. The interventions then identify and resolve remaining obstacles and settle logistical issues. The actual intervention session occurs fairly quickly, within days of the initial call to BoardPrep. Before the actual intervention, arrangements for day-night treatment services must be in place. The individual is transported directly to treatment at the end of the meeting.
